Hi, Iām Stephanie!
Growing up, I always gravitated toward the crayons, friendship bracelets, shrinky-dinks, and those little plastic beads you could iron together to make fun images. If there was a craft to be done, I was doing it.
When the pandemic hit, I was living in a new city and wanted to try something new, which is where I discovered pottery. The ceramic studio was like a safe haven away from all the bad things that were happening in the world, and allowed me to explore a new art medium that I had not had the opportunity to dive into before. Making ceramics re-ignited a passion to create that I didn't realize I had lost as I got older and busier.
Now I work out of a small home studio in my basement and split my creative time between ceramics, digital art, crotchet, and painting. I draw great inspiration from beautiful vibrant colors and influence from my Japanese heritage. My art style continues to grow as I grow, and I think that is my favorite part about art- celebrating changes as they come and being able to experience my life journey through the lens of what I create.
